Although we believe that the text shoud have included a stronger condemnation of Israel's occupation policies,
such as targeted killings and collective punishment, The Klamath Basin Peace Forum agrees in principle with the March 9, 2006
op/ed piece by former US President Jimmy Carter. President Carter's statment is correct in emphasizing that
"the preeminent obsticle to peace is Israel's colonization of Arab land."
